My past experiences in the De Soto and Gardner-Edgerton School Districts have prepared me well for this new role. I’ve had the opportunity to work with students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Most recently, I served as a reading specialist and provided instructional support to classroom teachers.
My heart and true passion is with kids! I will never grow tired of those “light bulb moments” when children grasp a new concept or realizes that they just read that very first word on their own. On a personal note, I have a husband and three kids. A few months ago we added a new member to our family – Tucker, a three-pound Chihuahua/Maltese mix who thinks he is way bigger than three pounds.
This will definitely be an exciting year on the home front too because we will have one child in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, watching movies, reading, listening to music, and jogging. I hope that all of our Ravenwood families have had a relaxing and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to partnering with you in the education of your children.
