Parking Lot Reminders

Our building opens its doors to students at 8:00 a.m.  Students arriving before 8:10 are able to choose to spend their time reading/drawing/checking-out books in the library with Mrs. Fox or walking laps with their friends in the gym with Mr. Pitcher. Students are allowed in their classrooms at 8:10 a.m.

If you’re looking to avoid heavy traffic, we have noticed that our driveway is much less congested between 8:00 - 8:10 a.m.

When cars are entering the school’s driveway on Lincoln St., from the north and south, it’s helpful when the cars take turns entering the driveway.

As you enter the driveway, make a decision about needing to go around the south parking lot (if there is a lot of traffic) or immediately turning in front of the school.

There is a green line down the sidewalk in the front of the school. Please feel free to drop your child/children off anywhere along the green line.

If a car is unloading in front of you, please use safe judgment. You may need to slowly pull around the stopped car to keep the line moving.

All students not escorted by an adult need to be dropped-off in the car lane.

It is a safety hazard, and bad etiquette, to drop-off students in the parking lot.

Pro Tip: Pull to the curb on Lincoln Street and unload your students on the sidewalk in front of the school.  Your student can follow the sidewalk around to a crossing guard and enter the front of the building. Please only drop-off on the (school side) of Lincoln. We want students to cross at the corners - not in the middle of the street

Dismissal Process

1. Siblings picking-up kindergarten students.
2. First 10 car line numbers
3. Walkers
4. Remaining Car Numbers
5. All Call - Remaining students Wait with their teacher by the front door.

Please be aware of the  No Parking signs on the street along the southwest side of Clinton (across the street from the school) which regulate parking on school days, during drop-off and pick-up.

Thank you for your support as we strive to make the Ravenwood community safe for its students and residents
