Health Room Updates

Please help us keep our Ravenwood students healthy and ready to learn! J We have been reviewing our Health Room procedures this Fall and want to share these thoughts with you.

  1. Please send cough drops with your student if you feel he or she will need them during the school day.
  2. Only emergencies will be addressed in the Health Room before 9:00 AM.
  3. Vaseline will be provided to each classroom for chapped lips.
  4. Contact Mr. Brockway if a student requires triage and does not present as an immediate health concern.
  5. Staff members will avoid sending students to the health room between 11:00 and 1:00 (our busiest time) for non-urgent needs.
  6. Minor cuts and scrapes will be tended to in the classroom or with bandaids and cleansers on the playground.
  7. If a student hurts themselves at recess but does not want to stop playing to visit the health room, staff members will send them later only if symptoms occur.

Staff members at Ravenwood are dedicated to the health and safety of our students.  We are looking to take care of each one of our youngsters as efficiently and effectively as possible.  Here’s to healthy, happy Ravenwood kids!
