All Ravenwood students are invited to share their special talent on the Ravenwood Stage in the gymnasium during their Grade Level Talent Show to be held on Monday, May 20th, during their correlating Specials’ class time. Such acts may include but are not limited to singing, dancing, acting, playing an instrument, presenting a magic show or comic act, performing gymnastics, martial arts, hula hooping, juggling, etc. all of which must adhere to Ravenwood’s code of conduct. Students are welcome to perform as a solo or in a small ensemble. If students from multiple grade levels are in a
single given ensemble act, the students will be able to perform their act for each correlating grade level talent show. Please include all students in the small ensemble when completing the “Type of Act” portion of the permission slip. Each act (solo and small ensemble acts alike) will only be allotted 2 minutes of stage time. Also, please note, students are not recommended to lip-sync (mouthing the words while dancing) nor are students advised to sing along with the vocal artist. Students choosing to sing should be the featured vocalists singing along with a karaoke soundtrack/accompaniment track version (a recording without words); A-Cappella singing (singing without music) is not recommended. If you have previewed your child’s act to ensure that it is appropriate and 2 minutes or less, please complete, sign, and return this participation permission slip for the grade level talent show by Friday, May 10th, as there are no tryouts. We are so excited to see what talents our students have to share! Students, don’t forget to bring your music, costumes, props, etc. on May 20th, as you will be performing in front of a live audience.
