A Message From the Principal

This week, I returned to work well rested and prepared for a new school year. Over the break, my wife and I took a big family vacation to Crosslake, Minnesota, where we rented a lake house along with my sister, brother-in-law, parents, 2-year-old twins, and two Labrador Retrievers.

I am excited to announce that we will have additional administrative support this year. Dana Hinds will assist with administrative tasks in the morning and then teach 4th grade in the afternoon (sharing the job with Ashley Lee). This will enable Dana and I to spend more time on school initiatives and, more importantly, with our students.

It’s an exciting time for Ravenwood Elementary as we continue to grow. As you may recall, Elementary #35 will be providing relief in the fall of 2014. Boundary changes accompany a new school, and we will invite each of you to the Boundary Meetings starting soon after school starts.

Our focus this year will be to maintain our commitment to providing the very best educational experience for our students. Since success is not a destination but a journey, I hope we’ll make this journey together with all of the enthusiasm, commitment, and vision that have brought us this far. Whatever the future brings, I hope we’ll be able to continue sharing success for years to come.
