Halloween

Our fall parties are just around the corner and we are excited to celebrate this beautiful season. The Ravenwood Building Leadership Team has been discussing our October event, and it has been decided that we would like to do the same as last year. Rather than students wearing Halloween costumes at school, we will be having a Spirit Day. The Student Council is brainstorming several Spirit Day themes, so be watching for news from STUCO about their plans for the day.

Our staff is increasingly protective of our academic time and the costume preparation for students has increased year after year. We have also noticed that more and more of our younger children are upset and frightened by various costumes. Many of our Ravenwood students have multiple opportunities to wear costumes during community events. These are just a few of the reasons that this decision has been made. Thank you for working with us to create a safe and compassionate academic environment for all of our students!

Ravenwood PTO has decided to have a PUMPKIN DECORATING PARTY!  It will take place on Wednesday, 10/23 from 6:00-7:00. It is Bring Your Own Pumpkin. PTO will supply items to use for decorating (NO CARVING!). We will be selling cider, water, and popcorn. Kids may wear their costumes.
