4th and 5th Grade Parents,
Please join us for a night of learning on Tuesday, April 16 from 6:30PM - 7:30PM as we introduce the Common Core Standards and what they mean for your 4th or 5th grade students at Ravenwood Elementary and the Olathe School District.
According to the Kansas Department of Education, "the standards provide clear goals for student learning in different subject areas and help teachers ensure their students have the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in the future." School districts in the state of Kansas will be transitioning to the Common Core State Standards in the 2013-14 school year.
You will have the opportunity to participate in a classroom lesson which demonstrates the rigorous expectations that will be expected from our students.
