5th Grade Legacy Gift

A talented, nationally recognized chainsaw artist, Keith Gregory, was at Ravenwood January 31st and February 1st making a one-of-a-kind 5th Grade Legacy Gift. Keith amazed our students, teachers, and staff with his carving, utilizing over 12 types of chainsaws to carve an amazing tiger out of a log of wood. Students and teachers enjoyed going outside to watch, learn about, and enjoy Keith’s amazing chainsaw carving talent. He was also a big hit with our students - eating lunch with them and telling stories in the cafeteria.

Our 5th Grade parent sponsors, Kate Boge and Shannan Lee coordinated this special program and fundraising efforts with the help of our 5th Grade students and teachers. Their “Gum Day” fundraiser that was a huge hit! All students, teachers, and staff members were invited to pay a dollar for a piece of gum to chew that day.
